Addressing Mental Distress in Agricultural Communities

In this session Linda will discuss the current issues facing agricultural communities that have gotten us to this mental health crisis: there is not one factor, but many. Then through an agricultural lens, Tara will lead attendees through a “QPR” training – Question, Persuade and Refer. Attendees will be able to recognize the signs of someone in mental distress and respond effectively. This training will end with a message of hope, shining a light on what is possible when, as a community, we reach out to others from a place of caring and willingness to talk and help.
