Jerry Weis | General Manager | Express Feed and Grain Parts

Born: April 26 in Ottumwa, IA

Years with company/industry: 2/2

Family: Three college-aged children - Emma, Payton, and Grant.

Education: Des Moines Area Community College (Ankeny, IA), and Simpson College (Indianola, IA)

Favorite hobbies/interests: Being a dad to my three favorite people, sporting events, and the occasional golf game.

Favorite sport team: Everything Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Chicago Bears and St Louis Blues.

Favorite vacation spots: Lake country never disappoints.

Best mentor and why: Larry Kurtenbach at Lindsay Corporation, and John Minor and John Mikkola at Midwest Wheel Companies were all great examples of success through character, dedication, and integrity. They set the example that being a partner in your business relationships is a priority. I strive for Express Feed and Grain to be a valued partner because of the example set by these former colleagues.

If I wasn’t in the grain industry, I would:
> Have missed out on meeting so many great people in this industry.

> Still be curious about learning new things and meeting new people.

> Still consider the Super Bowl Shuffle to be one of the greatest songs ever.

Favorite quote: "I am happy to say that everyone that I have met in my life, I have gained something from them; be it negative or positive, it has enforced and reinforced my life in some aspect" ~ Walter Payton
