Before entering a grain bin, always have a plan in place. This includes a bin entry permit, checking oxygen levels, and ensuring a second worker is outside the bin as a trained observer. Never enter alone, and never attempt to "walk down grain" to break up clogs—this is one of the leading causes of entrapment fatalities.
