Bernard "Bernie" Jansen, long-time leader in agribusiness, passed away this week at 67 years old.
Jansen's career was spent growing projects and supporting people. His knowledge of design and facility layout for grain elevators, storage structures and feed and flour milling facilities helped build the reputation of VAA.
Jansen focused just as much on building relationships, working hard to earn the trust of those around him. He built relationships with clients, industry partners, designers, engineers and technicians that allowed all parties to grow together.
"We will remember Bernie for his generosity with his knowledge, his commitment to clients, and the warmth he brought to our team," wrote VAA on LinkedIn. "Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him."
A celebration of life ceremony will be planned at a later date.
