CONVEY’26 welcomed a record 421 attendees to Omaha this week, marking the largest turnout in the conference’s 17-year history. Presented by GEAPS Media Group, publisher of Grain Journal, the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) and the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), the Aug. 3-5 event opened Monday and brings together the grain, feed and processing industry for three days focused on safety, operations, regulation and emerging technologies.

CONVEY’26 began Monday with the new Mycotoxin Risk: From Ground to Feed Workshop, examining mycotoxin risk across the supply chain, from crop and weather conditions through harvest, storage, processing and feed safety. The workshop brought together regulatory, research and industry perspectives on monitoring, detection, mitigation and operational response. The CONVEY’26 opening reception followed Monday evening.
Tuesday’s program includes an update on OSHA’s 2026 regulatory, enforcement and compliance assistance priorities, along with sessions addressing FDA regulatory developments, artificial intelligence and automation, preventive and predictive maintenance, cybersecurity threats and the inspection and maintenance of concrete silos, steel bins and tanks.
Wednesday will focus on rolling stock fall protection, including regulatory developments and practical approaches to managing hazards associated with accessing railcars and other rolling stock. The conference will conclude with a session examining belt and drag conveyor design, maintenance and operational practices.
In addition to its educational program, CONVEY’26 gives attendees opportunities to connect with equipment manufacturers, technology providers, service companies and other industry suppliers in the trade show area, along with networking opportunities throughout the conference.
