The National Grain and Feed Association expressed support for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee’s advancement of Keith Sonderling’s nomination to serve as U.S. secretary of labor.
NGFA said filling the leadership position at the Department of Labor is important for providing stability and predictability for employers and workers.
“The NGFA appreciates the Committee for advancing Keith Sonderling’s nomination,” said NGFA President and CEO Mike Seyfert. “America’s grain, feed, processing, and export industries depend on a stable and predictable regulatory environment, and filling this important leadership position at the Department of Labor is critical to providing certainty for employers and workers alike. We urge the full Senate to act promptly on Mr. Sonderling’s nomination and look forward to working with him upon his confirmation.”
Sonderling previously served as a commissioner on the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. His nomination will now move forward for consideration by the full Senate.
