Precision Roll Grinders President and CEO Ed Gumina has announced the promotion of Larry Butkovich to chief operating officer.
As COO, Butkovich will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and work with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives, improve operations and support continued growth. He also will lead efforts to maintain efficient processes across the business while upholding Precision Roll Grinders’ focus on quality, customer service, safety and continuous improvement.
Larry has demonstrated strong leadership throughout his career and has played a key role in the success of Precision Roll Grinders, Gumina said. He added that Butkovich’s operational experience, strategic perspective and commitment to employees and customers position him to help guide the company’s future growth.
Before being named COO, Butkovich served as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing and vice president of operations, where he helped strengthen operational performance and support growth across its four manufacturing facilities. Along with his promotion, Butkovich also has been appointed to the Precision Roll Grinders board of directors.
Butkovich holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master of business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Before joining Precision Roll Grinders, Butkovich held manufacturing and engineering leadership roles, including serving as general manager of Fuji Electric Corporation of America’s Virginia Assembly Center in Roanoke, Virginia, and as general manager of electric vehicle systems in Edison, New Jersey. Earlier in his career, he also held leadership positions with International Battery, Cobasys and General Motors Powertrain.
