Summit Contracting, a Norfolk, Nebraska company, donated grain bin rescue equipment to several rural fire departments. Donated equipment included Res-Q-Tubes as well as augers and other items.

The Carroll, Winside, and Osmond Volunteer Fire Departments received the donations, with Winside receiving both a Res-Q-Tube and an auger, and Osmond receiving an auger because they already owned a Res-Q-Tube.

Res-Q-Tubes are used to remove someone from a grain bin safely and quickly, while augers assist in the process. The additional equipment will help these emergency responders perform rescues, and reduce the risk of bin fatalities in the area.
