
Fire crews from several North Dakota departments responded to a blaze at a grain elevator in Kindred on the evening of October 16. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported that the call came in shortly after 6 p.m., and responders arrived within about 15 minutes.
According to Kindred Fire, the incident began when a grain dryer malfunctioned while processing corn. About 15 firefighters from Kindred, Horace, and Davenport departments worked together to contain the fire.
No injuries were reported, and officials said an investigation is underway to determine the cause. The total amount of damage has not yet been determined, and further details are expected once the inquiry is complete.
