Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) on May 1 announced the acquisition of a deep-water bulk marine export terminal from Societe En Commandite Terminal Grains, which has been operated by Sollio Agriculture since 2021 in Quebec City, QC.
According to a statement from P&H, "This strategic acquisition marks a significant step forward in P&H’s ongoing growth and commitment to strengthening Canada’s grain handling and transportation network."
Located in a key eastern shipping corridor, and at the Port of Quebec, the Quebec City terminal is a highly efficient facility that will play a critical role in enhancing P&H’s ability to serve its customers from coast to coast. With this acquisition, P&H has established a new commercial relationship with QSL International Ltd. QSL’s presence and expertise in the Port of Quebec will support the continued success and integration of the terminal into P&H’s national supply chain.
The acquisition further expands the company’s reach and reinforces its position as a leader in the Canadian agribusiness sector. The terminal, operated by Sollio Agriculture since 2021, will also continue to benefit from the expertise and experience of its current employees, who will remain in place to operate the facility.
“The addition of a Quebec City terminal is a strong fit for our long-term growth strategy,” said John Heimbecker, CEO of P&H. “It allows us to offer even more reliable and efficient service to our customers, while optimizing our logistics and supply chain capabilities across the country.”
