GEAPS Exchange and the Future of Processing

As we step into 2025, it’s only fitting that the cover of this issue of Grain Journal features “The Scout,” Kansas City’s iconic statue of a Sioux warrior surveying the horizon. His gaze, fixed on the future, reflects the very essence of what we do at GEAPS and GEAPS Media Group: looking ahead, anticipating challenges, and embracing opportunities to advance our industry.

This year’s GEAPS Exchange in Kansas City marks a significant shift, one that acknowledges the growing role of processing in our industry. The newly launched Processing Track will bring together top voices from the American Soybean Association, the National Corn Growers Association, and the Renewable Fuels Association to discuss the evolving landscape of biofuels, soybean crush, and sustainable aviation fuel. The impact of processing on grain markets is undeniable, and this dedicated track ensures that professionals across the supply chain are equipped with the knowledge and insights needed to thrive.

Beyond GEAPS Exchange, we’re doubling down on our commitment to the processing sector. In March 2025, Processing Journal – a sister publication of Grain Journal – will debut its new, refocused format. With sections like Policy Watch, Global Innovation Hub, Market Pulse, and Voices of the Industry, the quarterly journal will serve as an indispensable resource for those navigating the fast-changing world of biofuels, oilseed markets, and processing advancements.

These strategic shifts – both in our educational programming and our media coverage – underscore a dedication to staying ahead of industry trends. Just as “The Scout” surveys its surroundings, we are doing the same, looking to the future, committed to anticipating industry shifts and providing the insights, education, and connections that keep you prepared.

We invite you to join us in exploring how innovation and collaboration will shape the future of grain and processing. Let’s embrace what’s on the horizon – together.
