A few weeks ago, you all should have received an email with a very special invitation. We hope you already accepted it. If not, let us give you a few reasons to pack your bags. Last year, 3,716 people from all areas of the grain industry converged upon Kansas City, Missouri for the biggest and best show in the grain industry, GEAPS Exchange. This year, we expect as many as 4,000 people to join us. We sure would like you to be one of those people. But this isn’t about what we want. This is about what you want. One of those many registrants is Austin Carpenter. As president of GEAPS International Board of Directors and an exhibitor with Clear Creek & Associates, Inc., he has a good reason to register for GEAPS Exchange. While you may not have the same reasons, he feels there are many reasons to register for GEAPS Exchange. “GEAPS Exchange is the single best way to network and connect with industry partners,” Carpenter said. “Each year, I see new exhibitors offering technology from parallel industries offering solutions to our problems.”

Networking

You saw the numbers above. GEAPS Exchange attracts a lot of people. No matter your role in our dynamic industry, there are people you want to meet. “Networking at GEAPS can lead to valuable partnerships and insights into cutting-edge technologies that can address current challenges,” Carpenter said. On the Expo floor, in education sessions and at social events, you’ll see the gamut of grain industry professionals. There are future customers. There are suppliers who can answer your questions about that expansion you’re considering or that problem you’d love to solve. There are folks from your area you never got a chance to meet; there are people from across the globe you never dreamed you’d get to meet. There are people who will inspire you, people who will make you think, people who will make you laugh and, yes, people who are fun to have a beer with. Registration is Open for GEAPS Exchange! Join Us in Kansas City February 22-25 “As an exhibitor, I’ve found the networking events excellent for meeting friends and customers in an enjoyable setting,” Carpenter said. “The next day they are able to stop by the booth and talk business.” The GEAPS Exchange crowd is a fantastic crowd; you belong there.

Take Advantage of Early Bird Pricing

Full registration for GEAPS Exchange is $435 (non-members will pay $670). Register quickly, because the early bird deadline ends Tuesday, January 28 and rates will increase to $495 for members and $750 for non-members. An Expo-only pass is free for members, but $70 for non-members. Full registration does include admission to the Get Acquainted Party and Music Bingo. Social event tickets may also be purchased a la carte. Space is limited, so act quickly if you don’t want to miss out.

Fun might not be the main reason you come to GEAPS Exchange. You’re probably coming to meet with customers or suppliers, see new equipment, hear about new ideas, and take in some education. Those are all great reasons to come to the biggest and best show in the grain industry – networking is another. If you’re going to network with others in our fantastic industry, you might as well have some fun along the way.

Social events begin Saturday night. Our international guests and first-time attendees are invited to the Mixer. The Mixer is designed to help those new to Exchange get their bearings and meet some friendly faces in a relaxed environment. It’s a great opportunity to meet members of the GEAPS International Board of Directors and others who, like you, are new to GEAPS Exchange! Meet some people and have a drink and a snack before you take the shuttle to Saturday’s big event.

This year, we’re taking the Get Acquainted Party off-site to the College Basketball Experience in Kansas City’s famed Power and Light District. Paul Steinlage serves on GEAPS’ International Board of Directors and the Exchange Futures Committee. He also lives in the Kansas City area: “The College Basketball Experience is an outstanding venue that provides an interactive look at the world of college basketball. The experience has outstanding displays on the history of college basketball and includes the National Collegiate Hall of Fame where everyone can find their favorite players and coaches,” Steinlage said. “I think I’m most looking forward to the various activity stations and competitions throughout the space. Whether you are a lifelong or casual fan, everyone will enjoy this!”

Admission includes two drink tickets, good food, access to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, and more than 20 interactive exhibits. Don’t worry about finding your way; we’ll have shuttles to take care of transportation. If you’d like to attend the party, be sure to get the full registration package or purchase your ticket a la carte.
